The sounds homedics alarm clock makes are fine & actually are soothing but in the event you put homedics alarm clock in a room with other electronic devices, there is a LOUD interference sound (similar to when you put a mobile phone next to speakers) that occurs intermittently.

We have moved homedics alarm clock in all places but cannot figure out what is causing the interference. Because homedics alarm clock only happens every few hours, if they go to sleep with it, they get woken up in the midst of the night with loud screeches.

Unless you have a room with NO electronics whatsoever, I would not recommend to someone.

Other reviews on this site said that this cheap item, was a bargain, so I bought it. The sounds it produces are low quality. The white noise sounds like low quality TV static. Each of the other 9 options repeat their sound within a few seconds & are of equally low quality. I have heard white noise machines that produce a way more pleasurable & substantial sound that will put you to sleep in minutes. Regrettably, from my experience this seeming bargain was not worth the money.

I cannot say about how pleased I am with this product. I love everything about it; ease of use, variety of sounds to pick from, option to set timer or leave on all night.
